As we career helplessly towards the festive season, it's probably time to start thinking about what to put on your Christmas list. Hopefully you've all been good boys and girls; we'd like to think we have at Kalexiko. Here are a few awesome things that we think everyone who's into technology should have on their list. Perhaps your budget won't stretch to all of them, but that's not say they can't still go on the list anyway. The prices we've given here aren't necessarily the lowest you'll find, and by the time you read this they might not even be correct, so do make sure you shop around for the best deals.
Wacom Cintiq 12WX [Roughly £1,300 RRP, but currently £811.70 from Amazon]
Photoshop will never be the same again once you've tried one of these. Just plug into a PC or Mac and draw away with the included pen, just as you would on a piece of paper. You can also use it as a stand-alone screen if you'd prefer not to have to guess where the cursor is on your monitor. This is by a long way the most expensive item on our list, but it really is a sumptuously powerful tool for any designer.
Zaggmate iPad case and keyboard [£84.99 from iwantoneofthose]
The iPad is a rather spiffy piece of kit, but many people are not unreasonably still having difficulty getting accustomed to touchscreen keyboards. Fortunately, this case and keyboard allows you to harness all the functionality of the iPad without having to hit backspace every few seconds. Besides, physical keyboards are still far more satisfying to use. It also comes with a stand for the full laptop feel.
Cyber Clean Keyboard Putty [RRP £7.99, currently £2.15 from Amazon]
Putty is always good fun, and it just so happens that this stuff is actually pretty useful too. Designed for cleaning the gunk that inevitably gets into keyboards, mice, printers, consoles and even phones, it's bio-degradable, can be used in all sorts of cracks and crevices and it kills germs. And at that price, it makes an ideal stocking filler for anyone who's forever trying to get their grubby mitts on the latest technology.
Smart Gloves [£9.99 from iwantoneofthose]
Speaking of mitts, have you ever tried to use a smartphone or tablet whilst wearing gloves? It's difficult to say the least, but with the cold weather fast approaching you'll no doubt want to keep your fingers nice and toasty too. Your solution comes in the form of these smart gloves, which have a special conductive material woven into the tips to allow you to send texts or check your emails with precision, and without having to expose your hands to the elements. Way better than fingerless gloves.
Belkin Conserve Valet USB Charging Station [£42.97 from Tesco Direct]
If you're anything like us at Kalexiko then you'll probably have a fair few portable devices lying around at any given time, be they laptops, cameras, phones or MP3 players, each requiring their own plug socket for recharging. And there are only so many 4-way plug adaptors you're comfortable with plugging into a wall. Well this USB station keeps them all in the same place, and can charge up to 4 devices at the same time. The really clever thing about this is that it shuts down each device when it's fully charged, and shuts itself down when all the devices are done, so it doesn't use any more electricity than it has to.
