
The Brief
The problem all householders, landlords and businesses have across the country. The accumulation of junk and rubbish they no longer need. Creating space and tapping into a minimalist environment is what Rubbish Taxi’s services are based upon. Helping Londoners breath once again when they see they rubbish dispelled out the front door forever.
The Challenge
Rubbish Taxi’s services are constructed on a unique, transparent concept within the waste and rubbish collection industry. Clients pay a fixed price for labour, transport, fridges and mattresses. All other services are subject to ‘pay as you weigh’. Rubbish Taxi presented us with the challenge to build a website that could cater for a variety of client personas. It needed to work for both public and private sector customers, including construction companies and residential clients.
It needed to incorporate subtle flamboyancy that no other rubbish collection website had yet incorporated within the industry.
Our Approach
We built Rubbish Taxi an innovative, groundbreaking calculator for clients to budget and forward plan the cost of their rubbish with no hidden surprises. The practicality of this eCommerce service expedites further.
Clients would be able to book and pay for their rubbish collection conveniently online. No need to pay cash or card on collection. The operation would run smoothly without any flaws. Their new website was the future of rubbish collection, traditionally an arduous process that no-one enjoyed.
We created bespoke online photography to build on the existing strong brand identity. Unlike other companies that stereotypically focus on a man in a white van, Rubbish Taxi shows it’s clients it is a uniformed people’s business in yellow-black vans.
The Finished Piece
The online website now generates over 12,000 clicks and 60,000 impressions, with 6% click-through rate, on average per month through Google Adwords PPC. The website traffic achieved via PPC paired with the management of their organic SEO has rocketed their search engine rankings. All conversions via contact forms and telephone are tracked in depth using Google Tag Manager.
