We are looking for an experienced front-end web designer who can design and create innovative websites and web applications.

About The Role

You should feel confident in bringing fresh new ideas to our small team of designers and developers, but also be able to explore new clients' requirements and be able to present your ideas using a consultant-led approach. You will also need to show constructive and assertive skills within the team. Solving the clients needs and how their website design will fulfil their gap in the market will be second nature to you.

Your front end design skills need to be of exceptionally high standard. If successful you will be rewarded well with fast career advancement. You must have an eye for fine detail and a strong passion for developing highly aesthetic digital products for big brand clients.

Essential Skills:

  • Strong front-end skills in HTML5, CSS3 & jQuery
  • Experience in responsive/adaptive design techniques

  • Experience in implementing Backbone.JS, PHP and AJAX
  • Experience with CSS pre-processors (LESS/SASS)
  • Experience in version controlling whilst working with other developers

  • Knowledge of cross-platform and cross-browser issues
  • The ability to multitask on several projects whilst working to tight timescales
  • High level of self-management and organizational skills

PHP Web Developer DOE + Benefits

Experience Required: PHP, MVC Frameworks - Laravel, Database design and development - MySQL, Percona, MongoDB, Redis

Location: Birmingham, commutable from Birmingham, Worcester, Redditch, Wolverhampton and Solihull.

About The Role

We’re looking for a PHP Web Developer to join us in Central Birmingham to work within a small dynamic development team. You will be responsible for web solutions using the LAMP stack as your basis, with extension to newer technologies including non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Redis, JavaScript technologies such as Express and Angular, and alternative Web server technologies such as Node.js and nginX. The ideal PHP Web Developer will have at least 2 years commercial experience and will have worked with MVC frameworks, specifically Laravel. We’re a small but successful agency based in Birmingham who have been going for over 10 years and pride ourselves in developing unique digital solutions.

You should have a genuine desire for the companies growth. With excellent attention to detail, you should be experienced in documenting code and also develop, test your own code. New technologies and applications should excite you and sharing these with the rest of the team should be second nature to you.

Essential Skills:

  • At least 2 years experience with PHP Web Development
  • MySQL and JQuery
