You may not necessarily have heard of Shivani Mair, but you may well recognise her. As a talented and vibrant television and radio personality, she's worked for the BBC, MTV and Star TV in addition to a multitude of other broadcasters, and is certainly in the ascendancy as a capable young freelance presenter. When building her personal website we wanted to make sure that people see the very best of her, and we both agreed that simplicity and functionality should be key for her online portfolio. You might notice that no page on her website is more than two or three clicks away from the homepage, and it was important both to us and to Shivani to stress not only her considerable aptitude as a presenter, but her ability as a producer too.
In somewhat of a departure for Kalexiko at the time, we decided to put together and direct a professional photo shoot for Shivani. It actually went brilliantly, and we're sure you'll agree that she looks amazing on the site. It's definitely something we reckon we can do more of in the future. We also recognised that many media types have somewhat short attention spans, so the videos and galleries you see on her site are all geared to load up lightning fast. Shivani's website is split into two sections, with one devoted to her presenting career and another to her production portfolio. We also built in a sophisticated Content Management System (CMS) so that Shivani could upload new content as and when she pleased.
You only have to look at Shivani's showreel to see how successful she's been of late, from mingling with celebrities on the red carpet to presenting the live Diwali show to 30,000 people in Trafalgar Square. Whilst we can't take all the credit as we know that Shivani's been working pretty hard herself, we know that as a freelance presenter the breaks can sometimes be tough, and a great looking website like the one we created for her has certainly helped to build her brand and generate new leads. She was an absolute delight to work with, and we wish her continued success in the future.
