If you are going to learn PHP and HTML Web Development, you will need to have sound PHP and MySQL and ideally Actionscript and Photoshop requirements to assist in the development and design of world-class websites located in funky offices in central Birmingham!

If you are in the business for a while then you will need to have a sound portflio demonstrating a real flair for both Development and Design using PHP, MySQL, Photoshop, Flash, Illustrator, HTML etc you will have around 2 years + experience and a real eye for quality.

Someone with a good working knowledge of Web - HTML/PHP and SQL - is required and to really fit you will most likely have previously worked in a design studio / agency / web company and be keen to progress to senior status quickly.

• ASP.Net & C# Versions 1.1 and 2.0, 2.5, 3.5
• Proven experience of developing systems & designing websites in ASP.Net
• ASP.Net Web Services
• Have knowledge and experience of classic ASP
• Detailed HTML knowledge
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript
• Detailed CSS styling of web pages
• XML, XSLT, XPath
• Experience of Microsoft AJAX Technology
• Experience of using AJAX Toolkit
• Experience/exposure to JavaScript Frameworks
• Database exposure i.e. SQL Server / MySQL
• Experience with IIS on Windows Server 2003
• Have experience optimising websites for performance
• Exposure to Adobe Photoshop
• Windows Communication Foundation Services
• Silverlight 2.0 experience

What clients are essentially looking for is C# ASP.NET experts with an understanding of what makes a good web page. Not just a web designer, but basically someone with a good design sense. Example URLs of your work would be very helpful as they will let clients get a real feel for your type of programming and design.

You will possess an excellent understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, C# with ASP.Net, AJAX, Web Services, XML, XSLT, IIS 6.0, and Windows Server 2003, anything else is a bonus.
