In a job role like an Information Protection Manager, the successful applicant will report to the Head of Compliance, and will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of data protection and information security policies, and for managing data protection and information security compliance within the company. Legislative compliance, information security and working across group wide guidelines and standards and operating in accordance with best practice in the relevant sector.

By working collaboratively across the business, the successful candidate will have key accountabilities for:

• Participating in/coordinating company-wide data protection and information security compliance initiatives;
• Managing data protection and information security training programs in cooperation with HR;
• Implementation controls, including conducting audit, for compliance with organisational policy, UK and EU data protection legislation and relevant codes of practice;
• Developing and implementing new policy on Data Protection;
• Engaging and working collaboratively across the business to drive forward the Data Protection agenda; and
• Liaising with external bodies, including regulatory and commission bodies.

Success in this role will be defined not only but the successful applicants technical skill and knowledge of Data Protection, but also the ability to demonstrate working collaboratively to influence change, engage stakeholders, lead and manage project teams, and coach across all business levels.
