Birmingham Town Hall in Birmingham City, England United Kingdom
Birmingham Town Hall
The Birmingham Town Hall closed in 1996 to be refurbishment, a job undertaken by Wates Construction. The budget reached £35 million. The construction company brought back the Town Hall to its original glory with its 6,000-pipe organ still in place. A master piece, the building resemble the Greek's Athenian Parthenon. The project was funded by £18.3 million from the Birmingham City Council's tax payers money, £13.7 million from the Heritage Lottery Fund and £3 million from the European Regional Development Fund.
