Did you know that the Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery is the largest local authority museum service in the whole of England? There are over 500,000 historical objects in the collections, dating from 200,000 years ago to the present date, and something originating from each of the continents.
You will find at the BMAG one of the world's finest collections of Pre-Raphaelite art, as well as extensive collections of fine and applied art, social history, ethnography and archaeology. It is worth a visit with all the family. There is a restaurant and cafe for food and refreshments and cheap prices offered by the council. The museum is just minutes away from Birmingham's famous Bull Ring shopping centre.
